Report: Asian Civil Society Space in Government Process of Implementation SDGs is little and facing barriers; Local, National and Global Coalition and Combine Voices need along with Positive Engagement with Government

On 24th to 26th February 2017 Regional Workshop on National Implementation of SDGsVoluntary National Review (VNR) of UN High-level Political Forum (HLPF) held at IBIS Bangkok Riverside Hotel, Bangkok. As a representative of EquityBD I participated from Bangladesh. Around 43 participants from 13 Asian countries including representatives of UNDP and CSO from Switzerland and South Africa participated in the workshop. A three days workshop of ADA (Asian Development Alliance) held from 14-16th August 2016. The workshop is participated around 60 participants from Asia and the pacific countries. The workshop has focused on the issue of CSO (Civil Society Organizations) participation and engagement in monitoring of the UN Development Goal “SDG-16” (Sustainable Development Goal-16). Barkat Ullah Maruf has got the award of `Best Screenplay 2009’ from the Bangladesh Cine Journalists Association (BCJA). He has got the award for his extra ordinary work for the screenplay of the feature film titled ‘Priotomeshu (Beloved one)’. Priyotomeshu is the first Bangladeshi feature film produced in digital format.
