Dr. Tofail Ahmed Ph. D
Professor Tofail Ahmed retired voluntarily from the Department of Public Administration , Chittagong University In September 2007.Besides the teaching in the universities , he also served in various national and international organizations as executives and consultants. Professor Ahmed is one of the well read academic in the field of local governance in Bangladesh. He is the author of about 25 books (Bangla and English) and a large number of articles on politics, administration and development. An academic, activist and organizer, Dr Tofail Ahmed also contributes columns in the newspapers of Bangladesh. He is one of the founder trustees of COAST Trust, contributed as Treasurer and Chairperson for about 8 years and currently sits in the board as member.
